The Design Heritage

Ed "Big Daddy" Roth revolutionized the automotive world in 1963 by introducing Rat Fink as the grotesque, green antidote to mainstream cartoon mascots. This design captures that classic hot rod monster spirit, placing the crazed, bloodshot-eyed rodent in a spooky, moonlit graveyard surrounded by retro hot rods, smoking exhaust pipes, and eerie tombstones. It channels the exact energy of the 1960s custom car exhibitions and Revell model kits that defined a generation of rebels.

For collectors and automotive history buffs, this blanket bridges the gap between functional home comfort and counterculture art. Draped over an armchair or used as a wall tapestry in a workshop, it signals an appreciation for lowbrow art and vintage Americana. It transforms any cold room into a cozy sanctuary filled with nostalgic, high-octane energy.

Care and Maintenance

To maintain the ultra-soft texture and vibrant sublimation print of the fleece, machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Tumble dry on low heat or air dry to prevent fiber matting. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and direct ironing, which can degrade the synthetic fibers and dull the rich, spooky color palette.

Available in two distinct sizes, the 50 by 60 inch option works excellently as an accent throw for office chairs or car meets, while the larger 60 by 80 inch size offers full-body coverage for beds or couches. Position it over neutral-colored furniture to let the vivid greens, deep purples, and hot rod oranges pop, creating an instant focal point in your Halloween decor scheme.
